i just don't understand how a white, heterosexual, Christian male in america can tell me that he's worked for everything he has - that he's not privileged.
It's quite possible, and even likely, that he worked for everything - it's just a question of how much of an advantage (privilege) he had. There are levels of "work" that people, out of arrogance and/or self-entitlement and naivety, refuse to acknowledge.
agreed, jessie. i wouldn't discredit that he has worked hard (then i would have to take away my own sob story), but to not own up to being privileged? go to college. read a book, and not one by john eldredge.
